Greater levels will bring about greater range and longer stun duration. Pinpoint: A semi-circle is sent forward from the hunter, at first having no effect but to "mark" enemies with a symbol. Any enemy, including bosses, marked as such will be far more susceptible to damage.

Hunter: The Reckoning - Wayward. A sequel to the original Hunter: The Reckoning. This game picks up two years after the events of the previous game and brings similar gameplay, and two new characters, to the cursed town of Ashcroft.
PlayStation 2. Summary Images Similar Games Comments. Story It's been two years since Ashcroft was returned to some semblance of normalcy after a rave turned deadly and unleashed a horde of undead. Characters Once again, the four hunters from the original game return to hunt the evil of Ashcroft.
There are also two new hunters who join the fight: Joshua Matthews: The man who summoned the four hunters back to Ashcroft after seeing a resurgence of evil activity has chosen the creed Wayward. He's definitely a force to be reckoned with when he joins the party midway through the game Devin: Joshua's former partner, we see Devin in the introduction of the game as a man clearly pushed to the limits of his own sanity. Edges Edges are the powers that each hunter wields using their conviction.
Possessed by: Deuce Wyatt, Joshua Matthews Impact: Similar to Cleave, but for your ranged weapon, impact only lasts for one shot so make it count.
As I tore open the package a smile beamed across my face as I looked forward to destroying the undead in new and exciting ways. Well first off, I should tell you that I just happened to have 3 friends over and that it was decided that we would test out the multiplayer facet of the game. As we booted it up, we were treated to a pretty decent intro with that trademark stylish flair that Interplay games seem to all have. From there, we each chose a character.
Think of this game as more of a gothic-type Gauntlet game. However, unlike Gauntlet, each character possesses what is called an edge weapon, a type of magic that each character is endowed with that allows them to unleash upon the denizens of the undead.
As the characters become more powerful throughout the game, so to does the power of their edge weapon. This is in tune with the glyphs that are found scattered about the game's massive levels. While some glyphs will heal characters, others provide valuable information and still others increase character attributes. Show all files. From an AV perspective, this game is much tighter, cleaner, and all around nicer looking then its progenitor. Furthermore, the basic game play style hasn't been tweaked. Wait for Redeemer to see that happen. Unfortunately, much like the original, this title ends way too quickly, and given that it's been changed to make characters more powerful all around, you're also playing a much easier game too.
There are a great deal more unlockable items, along with additional characters to play as well. Although your main weapon no longer has unlimited ammo, you pick up enough that it seems like it, and instead of having to tap the fire button, you can simply hold it down to hose an area. The melee combat system is much better too, giving you access to a few special moves, an escape move, and a combo series that generally, make your character kick a lot more ass. My only real complaints are that the game is too easy, too short, doesn't have enough players, and doesn't let you fight nearly the same amount of walking dead as in the first one.
However, I think it should be applauded for being changed according to what players were looking for, and I'll probably be putting this one in my regular rotation. Browse games Game Portals. Hunter: The Reckoning - Wayward.
